One thing that I should mention, and quite to my disappointment, is the fact that even Briggs & Stratton engines don’t seem to be made likey they were used to. Briggs & Stratton carbs are not made like they were many years ago. In fact, the whole insides of the engine are much different too. It’s really the same design overall, but the metal and moldings they use to build the engine cast are much cheaper grade. Same goes with the piston, values and rod.

Despite all this, still today, Briggs & Stratton engines do indeed still seem better than other brands of lawn mower engines.

My advice to you would be to take some time toward fully researching the various lawn tractor part number that you need. Have the manufacturer confirm with you the actual part you need to have replaced. Sometimes, making hasty decision on replacing the part can be a costly mistake.

Also consider the fact that the lawn tractor parts that you need to have replaced might not really need to be replaced. Have you tried cleaning the part? What about swapping the part out for something else? There are quite a few things that you can do towards getting your lawn tractor back up and running.
