How To Fix A Bent Lawn Mower Blade?
Earlier last summer I hit a root with my lawn mower and bent the blade very badly. My whole lawn mower was shaking very badly and I was forced to purchase a new replacement lawn mower blade. When I removed the old lawn mower blade I had noticed that it was bent extremely bad.
I had used lawn mowers most of my life and I can’t begin to tell you how many things I have run over or chopped up. It seems like lawn mower blades are not made out of the same material as they was were years ago. If that wasn’t the case, then I don’t think my blade would have gotten as bent as it did.

Reasons Why I Like Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower Engines
Overall I am pretty decent at repairing lawn mowers; however, that is only with lawn mowers with Briggs & Stratton engines. I can’t fix or even deal with other brands of lawn mower engines. I am sure if I put my mind to it, I could; however, I have no interest in other brands of lawn mower engines as I have never had anything but bad luck dealing with them when they break. Don’t get me wrong, Briggs & Stratton engines will break too; however, the difference being is that I am usually able to fix those engines rather than others.

One thing that I should mention, and quite to my disappointment, is the fact that even Briggs & Stratton engines don’t seem to be made likey they were used to. Meaning, I remember having older lawn mowers where I could simply leave them out in the yard all winter and come spring time, flip them over to drain the old gas out and refuel it with new gas, crank it up and it would fire right away!
Today’s Briggs & Stratton engines aren’t like that. Heck, if you leave a new and simple push mower out in the rain for one night, you’re bound to have problems with the mower the next day. I can’t seem to put my finger on it as to what the problem is. Well, in many ways I can and its the quality if the engine parts.
Briggs & Stratton carbs are not made like they were many years ago. In fact, the whole insides of the engine are much different too. It’s really the same design overall, but the metal and moldings they use to build the engine cast are much cheaper grade. Same goes with the piston, values and rod.
Despite all this, still today, Briggs & Stratton engines do indeed still seem better than other brands of lawn mower engines.

Lawn Tractor Parts
Shopping for lawn tractor parts can be a pain in the butt. They are very expensive and you never really know if you have purchased the right lawn tractor part until you take it back to the farm and try to install it. This is a real pain when you have to special order your various lawn tractor parts and have to wait a few days for delivery.
My advice to you would be to take some time toward fully researching the various

lawn tractor part number that you need. Have the manufacturer confirm with you the actual part you need to have replaced. Sometimes, making hasty decision on replacing the part can be a costly mistake.
Also consider the fact that the lawn tractor parts that you need to have replaced might not really need to be replaced. Have you tried cleaning the part? What about swapping the part out for something else? There are quite a few things that you can do towards getting your lawn tractor back up and running.
